Lifeguard Services

Expert Training and Certification

Saving lives isn’t a job to take lightly! Umbrella Aquatic Group certified trainers provide the highest level of training that prepares each participant to be a well rounded and prepared lifeguard. Umbrella will handle all the training for those looking to lifeguard for the first time or for those whose certifications have expired. Our class work is done both a in-person and blended learning course format.


The prerequisites for this course include being 15 years of age and having passed the pre-course swimming skills test.

Skills Test Details: 

* 300 Yard Swim (300 yards of freestyle or breaststroke).

* Swim out 20 yards, surface dive 7ft – 10ft deep, retrieve a 10 pound weight from the bottom of the pool, return to the surface, and swim it back 20 yards to the start position. Timed at 1 minute and 40 seconds.

* Tread water with no arms for 2 minutes.

Successful participants will receive Lifeguard Certifications from Red Cross as well as CPR/AED and First Aid Certifications

Lifeguard Certification Class Dates

Classes will be held 9am - 6pm both days. Participants will need to complete both days of class in order to be eligible for certification.

Class Dates

Lifeguard Certification

American Red Cross Lifeguarding course is to provide entry-level lifeguard participants with the knowledge and skills to prevent, recognize and respond to aquatic emergencies and to provide professional-level care for breathing and cardiac emergencies, injuries and sudden illnesses.

Recertification - Lifeguarding

Recertification option for currently certified lifeguards. Review skills include water rescues, CPR for the Professional Rescuer and first aid. The course incorporates a blended learning format with online training videos, classroom skills and water rescue activities.

CPR/First Aid/AED Training

American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED program helps participants recognize and respond
appropriately to cardiac, breathing and first aid emergencies. The courses in this program teach skills that
participants need to know to give immediate care to a suddenly injured or ill person until more advanced
medical personnel arrive and take over. This
